Drawing the Line (On Fascism)

Drawing-the-Line---Feedback-adjusted

Drawing-the-Line--Levis-adjustedDrawing-the-Line--overview---adjustedJacqueline Levitin created Drawing the Line (On Fascism) in conjunction with Basic Inquiry’s “The Spectacular State: Fascism & the Modern Imagination” project (Vancouver).

A display of 117 images, texts, games, and video, this interactive exhibit probes the possible links to fascism manifested in fashion, family portraiture, media, architecture, local police activity, and local historical events. Viewers respond to the material by “drawing the line” (writing on the exhibition boards) to dialogue with the image and with each other.
